Terroir Parisien, Alléno bistro style
- Reserve by phone
Yannick Alléno who won three Michelin stars at Le Meurice opened his own bistro last week. His creed: use Parisian “produits de terroir”, hence the name of the restaurant! The à la carte menu offers Bougival fish stew with fish from Yvelines cooked in red wine, just like grand-mère used to make, a navarin of lamb from Parisian farmer Morisseau and pork pie and brawn from Gilles Verot’s charcuterie…
You will have understood by now that you don’t come here for tiny, trendy dishes or tasting menus, but for old an fashioned cuisine and Parisian to boot! Everything is extremely well executed and at very reasonable prices (around 30€), in a very pleasant setting where you can sit up at the counter and watch the waiting staff and chefs at work through a glazed panel. Please note that the desserts are particularly good: filling and not too complicated, just what you would expect from a bistro, for example a delicious “brioche perdue”! It’s a shame that the tables are so close together and that the service, although well-meaning is still finding its feet….
