‘Paul Bert’ has poured rivers of ink in these last years. It is in fact an authentic bistro such as the ones we dream about, with a purely Parisian setting, the menu and rations aimed at the gourmands and a timeless atmosphere.
Here, we come to eat the way is meant to: blanquette of veal, red tuna belly, entrecôte, pork brawn, skate with capers… All really heartening, as if tasting our grandmother’s cooking: in fact, it feels like we brought mum to Paris for a visit and we stopped in a bistro so that she could prepare something to eat!
Overall, a good spot with a good cuisine but, please, dear critics, don’t make such a fuss out of that!
